ROBERT EDWARD REIBLY GREENWOOD, IN
Robert Edward Reibly, 85 passed away October 5, 2013. He was a resident of Greenwood. He was born January 25, 1928 in Gary, IN to the late Edward and Ruth (Waldorf) Reibly. He is survived by his children, Ronald E. Reibly, Robert A. (Carla) Reibly, Sandra (Gary) Brand, Lawrence G. (Melody) Reibly, Randy D. Reibly, David W. Suarez, and Joseph M. (Judy) Suarez; eight grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; brothers: Chuck (Pat) Reibly and Kenny (Linda) Reibly; and a sister, Carolyn Kisylia. He was preceded in death by his wife of 41 years, Shirley Reibly; and a brother, John Reibly. Robert was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served in Korea and Japan. He worked for the Portage Police Department for over 20 years where he served as Police Chief. He was a 33rd Degree Free Mason as a member of the Dunes Masonic Lodge # 741. He was also a member of the Vernon Reibly Fraternal Order of Police. A private memorial service will be conducted at a later date. Memorial contributions are suggested to Franciscan Alliance Foundation, Cancer Care/Oncology Fund, 5255 East Stop 11 Rd. Suite 245, Indianapolis, IN 46237. Arrangements were entrusted to Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service & Crematory.
