Richard B. Hulse, age 84, of Munster, formerly of Hammond, IN passed away Tuesday, December 17, 2013. He is survived by his beloved wife of 40 years, Kathleen (nee Lembcke); loving son, Burt; and adored sister-in-law, Diane Lembcke. Richard was preceded in death by his sister, Evelyn Bartlett. Family and friends will gather to celebrate Richard's life on Saturday, December 28, 2013 directly at St. Thomas More Catholic Church: 8501 Calumet Avenue, Munster, IN 46321 from 9:30 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. when a Memorial Mass will be held. Richard was a Veteran of the United States Army who served on the front lines in the Korean War and was in the battle of Pork Chop Hill. He graduated from Hammond High School and Purdue University with a Degree in Mechanical Engineering. He was a retired Metallurgist who had been employed by Youngstown Sheet & Tube and LTV Steel.
