Michael A. Drosos, age 69, late of Burnham, IL and formerly of Hegewish, passed away at home on Thursday, June 26, 2014. Loving husband of 45 years to Doris (nee Ranger); devoted father of Denise (Richard) Zart of Highland, IN and Michael Jr. of Burnham, IL; caring grandfather of Nicholas and Nathan Zart; cherished son of Barbara (nee Fleishman) Drosos; dear brother of Charles (Barbara), Jerome (Judy), Bernie (Mary Ann) and John; kind uncle of many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his father, John Charles Drosos. Michael proudly and honorably served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was a master barber and worked at several shops in NW Indiana. He retired from Ford Motor Co. Assembly Plant in Chicago. Michael enjoyed being with his family and grandsons. He was also a diehard Notre Dame, Chicago Bears, Blackhawks and Cubs fan. Michael was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in South Holland. Above all he will be dearly missed by his family and all who knew and loved him. In lieu of flowers donations to the family would be appreciated. Visitation 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 1, 2014 at Opyt Funeral Home 13350 S. Baltimore Ave., Chicago, IL 60633. Funeral Services 9:30 a.m., Wednesday, July 2, 2014 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church Church, 16500 Woodlawn East, South Holland, IL followed by a 10:00 a.m. Service.
