Myron Peyton Obituary

MYRON LOWELL PEYTON June 16, 1947 - April 2, 2015 Myron Lowell Peyton 67, formerly of Valparaiso, IN and Worster, OH passed away in Buchanan, MI on Thursday, April 2, 2015. Lowell was born to the late Myron and Rowena (Partridge) Peyton in Wooster, OH on June 16, 1947. After graduating from high school, Lowell went to Oberlin College, then on to Yale for his Master of Fine Art. He taught in Boston and Phoenix, and in Chicago at the Chicago Art Institute. He traveled extensively in Europe and the U.S. He is survived by his brother John (Sue) Peyton of Valparaiso, IN and his nephews James (Gina) Peyton of Hebron, IN and Robert (Lynn) Petyon of Madison, WI. Those wishing to make a memorial donation in honor of Lowell may do so to Oberlin College Art Department. Contributions should be made payable to Oberlin College and be sent to 50 West Lorain Street, Oberlin, OH 44074. In accordance with Lowell's wishes cremation has taken place and he will be laid to rest next to his parents at Memorial Park in Lawrence, KS. Arrangements have been entrusted to Brown Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
