Sandi, Bud & Family--I'm a sorry for Your loss. Since I first met Him, He was always very pleasant to all. Ironic the 'OTB' he truly enjoyed closed in the past months. May His Memory Be Eternal.

I spent many Summer days at Nuzzo Brothers store on 41st when I was a kid. My cousins Sammy and Benny treated me great. They made my mother happy because I was out of her hair. Also, they let take deposit pop bottles for brands they did not handles to other stores in the neighborhood. (and there were many). I got half of what I collected. On a good day I got 25 to 35 cents. Last saw Sammy about three years ago at Hydads. He was holding court and was as happy as ever. I am sure he will rest in peace.

Cousin, Ronnie

Will never forget the man who taught a young high school boy how to drive the stick shift Nuzzo Bros. delivery truck at the age of 15yrs. A great person whom I still remember and discuss "the good old days" to my friends to this day. Rest in peace Sam.

Growing up I heard many stories about Sam from my Mom and Dad (Kenny & Adeline Biggs) and my Grandfather (Frank Eldred). My Mom and Dad went to school with the Nuzzos, as did I and my brother and my youngest daughter. Sam and Mel and my parents used to go out together and Grandma Nuzzo or Josephine would be my babysitter. The first bar that my two youngest kids were in was Hy-Dad's. My parents were in town and went to see Sam and Melvina and took the kids with them and had lunch and visited. My Dad passed away last March and still would ask me if I ever saw Sam and I would tell him no, but I saw his Granddaughter Lauren and she said that he was doing fine. Sammy was my Grandpa's drinking buddy. He always spoke very kindly of Sam. I will call my Mom today and tell her about Sam. They shared good times and had great memories. My condolences to your family.
