MARIE A. DADO (nee BRACH) WHITING, IN Marie A. Dado (nee Brach) 95 of Whiting, passed away Wednesday, March 16, 2016 at Harbor Choice of Plainfield, IL. She was the beloved wife of the late Andrew M. Dado who passed away May 24, 1990; loving mother of Andrea Arnold of Naperville, IL; cherished grandmother of Zachary (Mimi) Arnold of Aurora, IL, Katherine (Chad Condon) Arnold, Sarah (fiancée, Mitchell Cruz) Arnold and Rebecca Arnold all of Naperville, IL; dearest sister of Joseph (Virginia) Brach of Hammond and the late Edward Brach; dear sister-in-law of Frances (late Joseph) Hritz of Whiting and Betty (late Joseph) Dado of Crown Point; proud aunt to many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 19, 2016 at 12:30pm at the Baran Funeral Home, 1235-119th St., Whiting; a Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 1:00pm at St. Adalbert Church, Whiting with the Rev. Stanley J. Dominik, officiating; interment, Holy Cross Cemetery, Calumet City, IL; visitation at the funeral home on Saturday morning from 10:00am to time of services. Marie Dado was born on June 22, 1920 in Hammond, Indiana to Walter and Sophie (Turek) Brach. She was a lifelong resident of the Calumet Region and was a graduate of Hammond High School, Class of 1938. Marie was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church, Whiting, the First Catholic Slovak Ladies Association, BR. 452 and the Polish Women's Alliance. She was a retired bookkeeper from the School City of Whiting with a service of 20 years. She loved to bake, garden and enjoyed her animals. Above all she cherished the time spent with her daughter and grandchildren. Devoted to her family, Marie will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. www.baranfh.com (219)659-4400
