ROBERT "BOB" TOMASZEWSKI HIGHLAND, IN Robert "Bob" Tomaszewski, who passed away on November 20, 2016, at his home in Highland, IN, was born January 11, 1930 in Chicago, IL to Joseph and Louise Tomaszewski. He is preceded in death by his wife, Joan M. Tomaszewski. Bob worked for Youngstown Steel for 30 years and another 10 years for Welded Tube in Chicago before he retired. He loved helping out his family and friends when needed. His favorite hobbies included fishing and wood working. He is survived by three children: Barry Tomaszewski (Janice) of Fishers, IN, Vickie Tomaszewski of Highland, IN and Robert Tomaszewski Jr (Brenda) of Crestview, FL; three grandchildren: Rockiena Tomaszewski of Fishers, IN, Emily Dempsey (Jason) of Stafford, VA and Joseph Tomaszewski of Mildenhal, England; seven great grandchildren: Alexis, Abby, Colin, Layla, Easton, Olivia and Liam; brother Arthur (Sandra) of Schererville, IN, as well as predeceased by brothers John and Hank, sisters Delores and Shirley. He also is survived by many nieces, nephews, and long-time family friends. A visitation will be held 6:00 p.m-8:00 p.m. Monday, November 28, 2016 at Kuiper Funeral Home, 9039 Kleinman Road (two blocks south of Ridge Road) Highland, IN. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 29, 2016 at Kuiper Funeral Home with Shawn Cornett, Minister officiating. Interment will follow at Elmwood Cemetery, Hammond, IN.
