SARAH BROWN Obituary

BROWN--Sarah Lynn, died unexpectedly on August 17, 2013. She will be remembered with love by her family: Sarah M. Brown, Ivan E. Brown, Donna Seelig, Laura Chappell-Brown and her many friends. Our lives were enhanced by her thoughtfulness, generosity, and grace. Her smile warmed our hearts. Her conversation and wit enlivened our minds. She sought challenge in her professional life, most recently as a founder and Partner of Oceanic Partners which focused on connecting international hospitals to North American health care payers. From 2008 to 2012 she was a Senior Vice President of ICC Lowe where she provided best practices consulting for drug commercialization. Sarah Lynn was a graduate of The Spence School -1991 and The University of Texas-1995. She loved movies, ballet, opera, and travel. She read widely and could always recommend a good book based upon her own classification system: airplane books or everything else. A Memorial Service to remember Sarah Lynn will be held in Brooklyn Heights in mid October. Gifts in memory of Sarah Lynn may be made to: The Brown Ledge Foundation, 25 Wilson St., Burlington, VT 05401.

Memories and Condolences
for SARAH BROWN

Not sure what to say?

It is with extremely deep sorrow and sadness that I learned that Sarah left us. Sarah was a beautiful, generous charismatic woman who always saw the world in a positive light and would extend a hand to whoever needed help. Her laughter and her smile would brighten a situation and light up a room. It is hard to imagine her gone. My thoughts are with the family. Rest forever in Peace Sarah.

I shocked to learn the horrible news about Sarah, who I met back when her presence graced the office of Congressman Ed Towns during the late 90s.

The Sarah I knew was a charming, poised, sharp and witty young lady, who brightened the lives of everyone she met--I'd say "may her memory be a blessing," but for those of us who knew her, it already is

Sarah was one of my best friends. She helped me through one of the toughest times of my life. She was so generous with her emotions and empathy. Her beautiful memories will live on to help us all cope with this.

I first met Sarah Brown in 1989. She had a wisdom beyond her years and a rare combination of high intelligence and great warmth of heart. She was a great friend to me, and although I had not been in touch with her for many years, I am overcome with sadness at the loss of her. My thoughts and prayers are with her family, whom I know she loved very much.

My heartfelt thoughts and prayers are extended to the Brown Family during this time of loss. While I only knew Sarah for a short time during our shared tenure at ICC Lowe, she was someone who touched my life in a special way. We grew to become good friends and often exchanged our views of the world - and our place in it. She was a soothing voice for me when my dad passed away. I'll never forget the empathy and compassion she showed during that difficult time in my life. Even crying with me for someone she never even met. Her display of humanity, integrity and conviction will always be admired. May her soul rest peacefully.

Sarah was a dear friend during our first year at Exeter. So many of my memories of that time bear the stamp of her wit, bubbly spirit, and intelligence. I will miss knowing she is out there in the world. My thoughts are with all those who held her dear, in particular her family.

You helped me in my time of need, when those who should have done so left instead; and you had no reason to extend a hand. I wish I could have returned the favor. I never forgot. Be well, my friend, wherever your journey takes you.

To Sarah's family - be well, or, as well as you can be. The thoughts of many are with you.
