DAVID RAPPAPORT Obituary

RAPPAPORT--David, 95, died peacefully Monday morning, April 5, 2010 at home surrounded by family including his loving wife Frances of 71 inseparable years. David was dedicated to his family, with whom he shared the delights of entrepreneurship, painting, fishing, mentoring and family celebrations. From humble beginnings, David founded Damon Creations, a men's and women's clothing company, which he built into an industry leader. For family, friends, acquaintances and charities alike, David was a man of great integrity and honor. Upon retirement, he pursued his passion of painting, and was honored by having numerous public exhibits. He is survived by his three sons Michael, Errol, and Richard; his brother Alan, grandchildren and spouses, Jordan (Ziva), Andrew (Ilana), Scott (Leila) and Jill; and his great grandchildren Aden, Dylan, and Dorian; his nieces Eleanor and Randi. The funeral will be at 11am, Wednesday, April 7 Plaza Jewish Community Chapel, 630 Amsterdam Ave at 91st. Shiva will be at 200 Central Park South apt 25A on Wednesday from 5-8pm; Thursday from 1-3pm and from 5-8pm; Friday from 1-3 and 5-7:30pm, Sunday 1-4. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to United Jewish Appeal.

Dear Errol. Richard, Michael and Frances,
I have lots of fond memories of your Dad.I am so glad to have gotten to see him and your family before he died. I think he enjoyed the time I stopped by. So sorry for your loss. I send you all my love and condolences. With love, Michele Brown
