LeVINE--David Eliot, 79, died June 3, 2013 in New York City after a brief illness. A graduate of Harvard College (1955) and Columbia Law School (1960), he served as a lieutenant in the United States Navy. Executive Director of the Dramatists Guild of America (1966-1993) and later of counsel to theatrical attorneys DaSilva & DaSilva, he represented theater professionals and appeared as an expert witness in contractual arbitrations on the East and West coasts. He was a member of the Tony Awards Administration Committee, a trustee of the T. Shreiber Studio and Eugene O'Neill Theater Center, and a founder of Broadway Cares/Equity Fights Aids. He is survived by his wife Barbara Grande and beloved cat Smokey.
