Edgar's passionate love affair with what is best about Judaism--its fierce focus on ethics, its embrace of the stranger, its emphasis on questions, and its historical celebration of rogues, rebels, and revolutionaries...awakened me to the beauty and truth of a tradition I was born into but never fully appreciated.
So thank you, dear Edgar, for making me and so many others aware of what is best about Judaism.

Wishing to convey my condolences to Sam and Edgar Jr. in my husband's name, Frederick Frankel, who passed away on Feb. 22, 2013. Fred worked for Sam and Edgar Jr at Seagrams' Classic Wines and only had the best words to say about the family and the company. We are indebted to the memorable help and assistance the family showed in Fred's medical disability and we share in the grief you must feel. God bless you all and I know you will continue to bring honor to Edgar's name. Sincerely, Joan E. Frankel

Dear Jan,
I'm Barbara McGregor's sister Debbie. I know that Barb really loves you and your family. Over the years, she has told me, my mother and my sisters wonderful stories about you and Edgar. As a result, we feel we've gotten to know your family through "osmosis."
On behalf of our family, I just want you to know that our hearts are broken for you on your loss.
We hope that all the love you are receiving now makes your days more bearable.
With kind regards,
Deb McGregor Fonteix

I admire Mr. Bronfman so much for believing in a cause and utilizing his resources to try to make things better. He will always be admired and dearly missed. As the Bronfman family approach the Almighty to ease their pain and the sadness of their loss, may you always remember that "He is opening his hand and satisfying the desire of every living thing." Our thoughts are with the Bronfman family today and in the days to come. [Psalm 145:16]
