FREITAG--Edgar, a true friend who was blessed by having his loving Barbara at his side throughout the severe battle. We offer our sincere condolences to the entire family. We will remember the wonderful rounds of golf at Old Oaks and Buddy's attempt trying over and over again to teach some of us the rules of golf. We miss him already and that will never end. Stanley, Peter, Bruce and Kenny

Barbara,
I don't know if you would even remember me, but I was saddened to discover this site on the internet telling of Ed's long fight and eventual loss to brain cancer. I worked for him at Grey 1968-1970. He gave me very good advice: "Go home to Atlanta and be happy. You don't belong in the advertising business." He was right. I was thrilled to see that he spent his later years supporting the arts. That is what I now do here in my home community, and my roots in Atlanta are deep. My love to you and your children and grandchildren. We will all gather by the river one day.

Dear Barbara,
I was truly saddened to hear about Buddy's death. I saw him from a distance at the opening of NICE WORK and knew he was very ill. I was bowled over by his spirit and bravery in all he did. What class! No matter how much you try to prepare, nothing prepares you for such a huge loss. My thoughts are with you and your family.
