Eunice Kennedy Shriver

SHRIVER--Eunice Kennedy. The faculty, staff and volunteers of the Rose F. Kennedy University Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities (UCEDD) and its Children's Evaluation and Rehabilitation Center (CERC) at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine of Yeshiva University are deeply saddened by the loss of Eunice Kennedy Shriver. Mrs. Shriver was a driving force in advocating for the rights of the disabled and for research to ameliorate the causes and effects of intellectual disabilities. She played a central role in founding Einsteins Rose F. Kennedy Center for Research in Mental Retardation and Human Development, named after her mother, Rose. Mrs. Shiver's life-long dedication to those with developmental disabilities will continue to inspire us. We extend our deepest sympathies to the entire Kennedy and Shriver families. Donald S.
