Gary Baker

BAKER--Gary, born May 28, 1948 in White Plaints, New York, passed away on December 8, 2008 after a five year battle with ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease). A successful harness racing driver and trainer, Gary campaigned for years on the New York, Florida, and California circuits. Gary initiated the Secure-ACure Charity Golf Event which successfully raised funds for research towards finding a cure for ALS. He is survived by his best friends, Robin, Remy, Steven, and Zachary Arnold, and his loving dogs -Topaz and Happy (Mo, Paris, Luca, and Bruno too). Services will be held at noon, December 9, 2008 at: Riverside Memorial Chapel. 21 West Broad Street, Mount Vernon, NY 10552.
