JOSEPH G. APUZZO

APUZZO--Joseph G. Sr., died on May 1st, 2013 at the age of 88. He resided in Rye Brook, New York. Mr. Apuzzo was born in the Bronx, lived on Long Island for ten years and from 1965 to the present, in Westchester. He was a graduate of St. John's University, a decorated WWII veteran and a Certified Public Accountant. He was the CEO of Armenia Coffee Corporation of Purchase, New York until his retirement. He served for many years on the Boards of Directors of the Green Coffee Association of New York, the National Coffee Association, the Coffee, Sugar and Cocoa Exchange and of Armenia Coffee Corporation. He was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church in Greenwich, CT where a wake will be held from 4 - 8pm on Sunday, May 5, 2013. A funeral mass will be held on Monday, May 6th at 11am, also at St. Paul's. He will be interred in Saint Mary's Cemetary in Port Chester, NY. He is survived by his beloved wife Jean of 64 years, four children; Janet Olszewski of Greenwich, CT; Carol Long of New Fairfield, CT; Diane Apuzzo of Pound Ridge, NY and Joseph Apuzzo of New Canaan, CT; 11 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
