Dear Sharon,

I have been looking for you for a long time. After graduate school I went back to Peru and lost track of you and Julie, my two roommates at 245 East 14th Street what, over 30 years ago. When I came back to work for the UN I did see Julie once, but could not find you. This was before I knew the internet or learned how to use a computer.

Two days ago, when I searched again using all combinations of information I could think of, I found Sharon Anderson Gold. And then I found Sharon went to the New School. It could be a coincidence, no dates were given, so I did not know for sure, it was you.

But I felt it must be you, Political Science and Philosophy? It did sound like you. And then I found your picture in facebook. I recognized you then. It was you.

And just like that I find that you are gone. So my last message to you is so late, too late, but I cannot keep it to myself. I have to say, I wish I had found you earlier and told you how wonderful it was to have known you and shared those school years. And that I am sorry I lost track of you. I have a picture of us on graduation day. The three of us, smiling, wearing our caps and gowns.

I cannot imagine how sad your family must feel, my sincere and heartfelt sympathy to each and all. I am so sorry.

Ever,

Maria

Dear Howard, Jason, and Jordan,
Harriet called me with the sad news of the passing of our cousin Sharon. She was an integral part of the "Anderson Cousins". Our family lived near Sharon's family and we visited frequently. And then there were the large family parties a couple times a year where all the cousins got to see each other. I will miss her. All three of you are in my thoughts and prayers at this time of sorrow. With love and my deepest sympathy, Marilyn

Howie,
I was terribly saddened by the news of Sharon's passing. Sharon was a good friend, and I have very fond memories of her at the New School and my visits to your home in upstate New York. She had a great mind, and I respected her scholarship. I'll always remember her. I'm so glad I had a chance to talk to her one more time before her passing last February.
My deepest sympathy,
Jim Liszka
