PATRICIA CAREY Obituary
Rye art and music leader, died on March 17th. She recently celebrated 65 years of marriage with her husband former Judge and Rye Mayor John Carey. Mrs. Carey, a Swarthmore alumna, was a founder and first president of the Rye Arts Center, Inc. She served as a trustee of the Caramoor Center for Music and the Arts for more than 30 years and as a board member of the Hope House. She was loved by her friends and family and will be dearly missed. Wake is Wednesday, March 23 at Graham's Funeral Home in Rye, NY from 4 to 6pm and 7pm to 9pm. Service will be Saturday, March 26 10:30am at All Souls Church in Port Chester, NY.

Patricia was always so delightful and cheery and inviting. We loved our visits to the Carey home and the beautiful nights at Shenorock where we enjoyed the company of Patricia and her wonderful family. She was good to us, and we will miss her very much. Chris, Lynn, Caroline, Claire and Peter Kelly.
