Dr. Illman recognized my pain as a herniated disc. After am MRI he sent me to a pain management team that gave me three injections and made the pain a bad memory. I give all the credit for being pain free to Dr. Illman.

I know my mother is deeply pained to lose her favorite cousin. I was lucky enough to get to meet him and talk with him on occassions, esp about medicine (I am a nurse). What a wonderful man. My mom is so heartbroken as she loved him so dearly.

Dr. Illman was a year behind me at Boston Latin School and Harvard. I fortunately, though, first met him at the Harvard Club of LI. I got to know him on a personal level and I became one of his patients. His warmth, his insights, his treatment, his advice, made him a special person. My wife and I will miss him. Our best to his wife and family.
