1941 - 2013
GRENEMAN, Arlene R., 71, of Bloomfield, Connecticut and Boca Raton, Florida died peacefully on May 21. Born June 16, 1941 in Brooklyn to the late Jack and Naomi Greneman, and sister of the late Elinor Colvin, she had an indomitable spirit, irrepressible warmth, unfailing grace and limitless openness to the world. A graduate of James Madison High School, with bachelor's and master's degrees in speech pathology from New York University, she worked most recently with acquired brain injury patients at the Hospital for Special Care in New Britain, Connecticut. She was a model of strength, a source of joy and humor, a loyal friend, and, in her proudest role, a doting and devoted aunt, mother and grandmother.
She is survived by her son Daniel Levine and her daughter-in-law Alyshea Austern of Brooklyn, her grandsons Elliot and Alexander, her nieces Laurel Tanier of Philadelphia and Heather Kaufman of Manhattan, and their families. They will forever cherish her memory.
