TAYLOR--Dr. Billy. I mourn the loss of my dear friend of 45 plus years. He was a devoted husband, father, and mentor to so many. A jazz pianist, composer, and educator extraordinaire, he nevertheless found time to give to others, but especially to Jazzmobile, the Kennedy Center and to his friends. It will take a while for all of us to realize this great loss, but fortunately he has left behind an amazing body of art, including over 300 musical compositions, which the world will forever appreciate.
