LAUDER--Evelyn. The United States Holocaust Memorial Museum mourns the passing of Evelyn Lauder. A refugee from Nazism and generous philanthropist, Mrs. Lauder was committed to the cause of Holocaust remembrance and education. The Lauder family was among the Museum's earliest supporters, helping to build this institution. Their commitment endures today through the special acquisition fund established by the family. We offer our deepest condolences to her husband Leonard, her sons WiIliam and Gary and the entire Lauder family. Tom A. Bernstein, Chairman Joshua B. Bolten, Vice Chairman Sara J. Bloomfield, Director United States Holocaust Memorial Museum
