EHRENWORTH--Lionel (Lee) M.D., born January 9, 1929, died October 20, 2013. Belleville High School, Class of '46, United States Marine Corps, 1946-48, Tulane University, Tulane University Medical School, 1955, died at home in Watchung, NJ after a long illness. Dr. Ehrenworth, of Elizabeth Medical Associates, Elizabeth, NJ. was a Board Certified internist and cardiologist with specialties in hematology and oncology until his retirement in 2003. He was affiliated with many New Jersey and New York health care facilities throughout his career. He is survived by his adored and cherished wife, Beth (Sapinkoff-Bass) and her family. He was a devoted and caring father to Douglas, Robert, Andrew and Richard, a doting grandfather to Jackson Nathanial and Matthew Petr, a beloved older brother to Jonathan and Susan (Addelston-Kunken), a warm hearted uncle to their children, a cherished friend and honored professional colleague to many. Funeral services will be held Friday, October 25th, 11am at Bernheim Apter Kreitzman Suburban Funeral Chapel in Livingston, NJ with interment to follow at B'nai Abraham Memorial Park in Union, NJ. In lieu of flowers, please send your contributions to the Dr. Lee Ehrenworth Emergency Medical Care Vehicle Fund, c/o Watchung Rescue Squad, 10 Stirling Road, Watchung, NJ 07069.

I believe I only saw Doc professionally 1 x.My parents and family were patients for years. He guided me on the path to my profession 39 years ago. I remember him as being very dedicated and professional, as well as compassionate. Thank God for him. He was a blessing to many. May his memory live on for generations.
