I knew Dr. Sesno when we worked together at the LA County Office of Education. She was such a vibrant , sweet and very smart woman. She was lots of fun to work with, but was very focused and straightforward in her goals, and in the way she worked with people. We worked together even though I was much younger than she was and not near to her equal in educational achievement and prestige. She treated me, as she did everyone, with kindness and respect. I am very sorry to hear that she has passed away. She was such a vibrant force and an advocate for children“s education in California and throughout the United States. That is her legacy, her advocacy for children and their education. She is missed.

So very sorry to seen that Alice is no longer alive. She had a wonderful influence on me in my work as a teacher, counselor and school psychologist during the 1970's, 1980's and 90's. She was brilliant, energetic, could always see the "big Picture" and was hilariously funny.
So sad that she is no longer with us. I met her in 1976 when I was a teacher in Inglewood and kept in contact with her through the years as I became a school psychologist in Glendale.

I just happened on this today and my heart stood still. I knew Alice many years ago when we worked together at PS 99 in the Bronx. We became friends when she asked if I could help type her doctoral theses. While working together I learned so much about her and the special woman that she was. Unfortunately lost touch with her but kept up on news through mutual friends. My heart goes out to her husband for losing such a lovely lady but I know that you were blessed with her as a wife and friend.

Alice was an idol and icon. Her influence upon me as a school counselor was fabulous, just like her. She credited me in one of her books for which I am humbled and forever grateful. I loved seeing her around town upon her retirement. I was privileged to know this vibrant, brilliant, generous, and thoughtful human being. May her memory be for a blessing.
