HEINEMAN--Andrew David, passed away peacefully on November 5, 2013, his 85th birthday, at Mt. Sinai Hospital (where he served as a dedicated trustee from 1975 to the present). Son of Bernard and Lucy (Morgenthau), brother of the late Bernard Jr. and William, Andy was a native New Yorker who spent every summer from 1935 to 2012 at the family home in the Thousand Islands. He attended the Horace Mann School, received his BA from Williams College in 1950, and his Law degree from Yale University in 1953. Andy had a distinguished law career at Proskauer Rose LLP (Associate 1953-1963; Partner 1963-2002). A world traveler and avid birder, Andy devoted his life to his family and philanthropic work. In addition to his work for Mt. Sinai, he served as a trustee of his beloved Williams College, and continued his father's commitment to the Jewish Lifecare System (formerly the Jewish Home and Hospital for the Aged) as a member of the Board of Directors from 1967 to the present, serving stints as Chairman and Vice Chairman. He is survived by his sister-in-law, Harriet, his dear nieces and nephews, Deborah, Matthew, Kathryn, Stephen, Annemarie and Thomas as well as numerous grand-nieces and nephews who loved him well. Memorial service will be held at Frank E. Campbell Funeral Home, 1076 Madison Avenue, NY on Thursday, November 7, from 4:00pm 8:00pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Williams College, Mt. Sinai Center for Multicultural and Community Affairs, or the Jewish Lifecare System. Most of all Andy will be remembered for his marvelous sense of humor and one of his favorite expressions --"C'est La Vie!"
