RUBIN--David. David Rubin, 53, President and Creative Producer of Rubin Studio Worldwide and a founding partner in BFF Entertainment, a multi-media entertainment company, passed away on November 21, 2012 from heart failure. His company produced TV pilots for Bravo Television, MTVNetworks, HSN and many others. During a three decade career in the fashion industry, he co-founded Jennifer George, Inc. and was a consultant to J. Mendel and Bergdorf Goodman. He was known throughout the entertainment and fashion industries for his boundless energy, inventiveness and keen sense of style. David was a master gardener, enthusiastic yoga practitioner, and had a flair for match-making from the personal to the corporate. David was a kind, loyal and generous friend. His loss leaves a void in the lives of those he touched. Of all his diverse passions, David loved his family most. David grew up in New Rochelle, NY and graduated from Emory University in 1981. In addition to his wife, Susan Salzberg Rubin, and daughter, Josephine Violet Rubin, he is survived by his parents Richard and Marian Rubin, mother-in-law Helen M. Salzberg, his sisters and brothers Susan and Richard Wolfin, Robert and Nicole Rubin, and Robert L. Salzberg, and his nieces and nephews. A private graveside service for family was conducted on Friday; Family will receive friends Sunday 2-6pm and Monday 6-9pm at David' and Susan's home. A memorial service is planned for a later date. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Wave Hill, Katonah Museum of Art, or The Lawrenceville School.
