HOITSMA--Derrik Cutten, 78, of Salisbury, CT, formerly Geyserville, CA and New York City, died suddenly from Melanoma on June 29, 2010 in New Haven, CT. He is survived by his beloved and loving wife, Michele Linen Hoitsma, his brother Kin, six children: Derrik, Jr. (Margie Pivar), Jim (Pam Callander), Lisa Hoitsma Favorini (Attilio), Tom (Kristie Ramirez), Erica and Gregory and grandchildren: Jasper, Sheyna, Cruz and Pilar. Pre-deceased by his parents Ralph K. and Muriel C. Hoitsma. He will be remembered fondly for his passion for business/causes, his love of beauty and his loyalty to his family, Amherst buddies, friends and colleagues.
