Ettie, as she was known by my parents, Muriel and Harold Jacobs was a neighbor to us in Fort Lauderdale, FL. She was a kind soul and always happy. Muriel and Harold spent many happy times with Ettie and Jack there. I remember a story that my mother told me about Harold visiting Julian's studio and did not realize he was walking over wet paint on a canvass that was laid out on the floor. He left his footprints on it and I wonder to this day if Julian ever left those footprints and made them part of the painting. Anyway, those days in Lauderhill were happy days for Ettie, Jack, Harold and Muriel and I will never forget them. May the memories be a blessing. - paul

So sorry to hear of Esta's passing. I wish I had known that she and Jack were living in Middletown - My mom is Roslyn Theodore (Ethel Schnabel Newman's daughter). Ethel was Jack's aunt, so we are cousins to you and we live in CT too.
