GALLANTZ--George G., passed away on April 24, 2013, the day after his 100th birthday. All of us at Proskauer Rose LLP mourn his passing. George will be remembered as a "lawyer's lawyer," known for his outstanding legal skills, wealth of experience and insight and special touch for teaching younger lawyers. A Proskauer partner since 1963, George mentored an extraordinary group of lawyers who have had an enduring impact both on our Firm, as well as on the legal and sports world - including Michael Cardozo, New York City's Corporation Counsel; David Stern, Commissioner of the National Basketball Association and Gary Bettman, Commissioner of the National Hockey League. The founding father of Proskauer's Sports Law Practice, George leaves behind a legacy of commitment, brilliance, friendship and uncompromising integrity. Our heartfelt condolences to his family. He will be missed by all who knew him - family, friends, colleagues and clients alike. Joseph M. Leccese Chairman Proskauer Rose LLP
