GREENBERGER--Howard L., age 81, passed away July 6, 2011. Greenberger was a 1954 graduate of NYU School of Law, where as professor of law emeritus, he served on the faculty from 1961 to 2001. He established the Howard Greenberger Award for Outstanding Achievement in Comparative Law, given annually to a graduating student at commencement. Greenberger was a past president of the New York City chapter of the American Jewish Committee and was active in the Coalition to Free Soviet Jews. Howard Greenberger is survived by wife Bette Jo (nee Bergad of Irwin, PA) of 52 wonderful years together as a most loving couple. He will be missed by his family, his many friends, colleagues and students, and most of all by his dearest Bette Jo. Memorials preferred to NYU School of Law.
