ILENE NESLIN Obituary

NESLIN--Illene 85, died on April 27, 2010 at home in her own bed of cancer. The youngest child of pharmacist Joe and Rose Pinck she was also predeceased by WWII Navy Veteran, brother Richard and his daughter Leslie. Ilene studied at the Art Students League in New York City and exhibited widely under her middle name Dana. She received awards from prominent juried shows including the prestigious National Arts Club. An extraordinary artist, gourmet cook and "fashionista" she was a beautiful woman with great flair and a fabulous sense of humor. Greatly loved and loving she had a long, fascinating life. Illene was married for twenty years to television producer, the late John A. Aaron and widowed after nineteen years by musician Jack Waltzer. In 1985 she married childhood "crush" the beloved Stanley Neslin, who survives. Illene ADORED her family: Brother Dr. Robert Lloyd Pinck (Rita), daughter Lynn Aaron (Bob Friedman), step-son Scott Neslin (Betsey) and their children Jenny, Louise, and Lenny. She also leaves numerous nieces, nephews, wonderful friends and extended family, particularly Elaine, Ergin and Troy. Bravely determined she died exactly as she wished because of the exemplary, loving care, lavished on her by our incomparable Carin (Thank-You "Dah-ling") and hospice. In lieu of flowers please donate Valley Hospice, 15 Essex Road, Suite 301, Paramus, NJ 07652, or any Humane Animal Society. Services Private. Illene....unforgettable, that's what you are.
