Rest in piece, Mr. Stadlen. I was grateful to finally get a chance to meet the man in all of Dad's army stories. He loved you dearly and I did, too.

Thank you for all those wonderful cartoon voices I grew up with. You will be missed "Simon Bar Sinister" and the rest.

Jane and I are devastated. What a wonderful friend, neighbor, and colleague! From Popeye to the present, Alan has been the best.
Love to Lenore and all the kids.

Ira aka the Captain was the first thing I watched on TV. I loved his Popeye show and he was so cool. Seemed so old, tho I guess he was only my dad's age. I've thought about him lots over the years. He was an old friend of Elliot's mom Zora, and if his health had held I would've had the thrill of meeting him. My heart goes out to Lenore, IRa's lovely wife, and his children. God Bless.
