FRANKS--Joan G., 88, long time resident of Malverne, NY, passed away on September 13, 2011. The cause was Alzheimer's disease. A dedicated Psychiatric Social Worker with a private family practice. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, John M. Franks, devoted mother of Colettte Coan of Rockville Centre, NY, Lauren Pollack of Bayport, NY. Baby sisters Agnes (Bobby) Nevin of Downingtown, PA, Audrey Hagemaier of Edgewater, FL. and beloved grandmother of Nicolette, Myles, Dylan and Skyler. Always caring and giving, her loss and her legacy are immeasurable.
