JOHN MADDEN Obituary
passed away peacefully at Arden Courts in Wilmington, DE from complications related to Alzheimer's on November 30, 2016 at the age of 85. He was born in Newark, NJ and attended Balboa High School in the Panama Canal Zone. He was the first in his family to graduate from college and served his country in the U.S. Army. While working full-time and supporting his new family, John attended Fordham Law School at night. He was a gifted litigator with Shearman & Sterling in New York City for nearly 30 years. John was a steadfast and loyal husband, father and friend; he had an abundance of honor, character, integrity and strength to go with his characteristic Irish wit and charm. He is survived by his beloved wife of 57 years, Ann, and his children, Giselle, Sean, Paul and Kevin, as well as three grandchildren.
