John Claghorn Obituary

CLAGHORN--John Winthrop Jr. 84, died April 19th, 2008 in Princeton, NJ. Husband of the late Margery Richardson Claghorn, two sons and daughters-in-law, John W. Claghorn III and Margaret J. Claghorn, David T. Claghorn and Elizabeth W. Claghorn, two daughters and son-in-law Margery C. Robertson and her late husband Randall W. Robertson, Susan C. Ferguson and Stuart W. Ferguson, two sisters, Elizabeth McIlvain and Susan C. Aitken and the late Anne C. Longstreth and Frederic S. Claghorn. Also eight grandchildren, a WWII Veteran who served in the United States Army Air Corps. His career was spent with Time Incorporated. A private memorial service will be held. Memorial contributions may be made to the Wildlands Conservancy, 3701 Orchard Place, Emmaus, PA 18049.

John, Penny, David and Susan,

We were very sad to hear of Big John's passing. He was a wonderful, fun loving man. I knew him best from many of our fishing trips together with John and David. He was one of my favorite people of his generation. Our thoughts are with you all.n God bless Big John!
