Ruth,
I cannot thank you and Kathleen enough for teaching a southern chick to be a real New Yorker. She was my hero and my mentor. I am so glad we got a chance to email each other just before her passing. Please know that I think of you often and though I am just finding out that she is gone, if there is anything I can do, please don't hesitate to call me. - Much Love, Veronica Williams (817) 307-9672 cell [email protected]

I did not know her very well but worked with her once a number of years ago Media Training the Chef du Cave of Pommery Champagne. Because of the language barrier I unexpectedly worked partly in French, which did not make her happy. She had very high standards and wanted him to hold his own only in English. I am very sorry for the loss and extend my condolences to her family and colleagues. Kayla Schwartz, Speech and Presentation Coach (NYC)

Kathleen was very kind to me. When I first got into writing about beverages, she reached out to me and brought me to events where I learned so much. She didn't need to do that, but she did. I miss her.

I worked at Talbert Comm in 1999 for several years. I had an urge to look the company up and saw the obituary for Kathleen. It was such a shock. My condolences to Ruth and Kathleen's siblings.

My sympathy to Ruth and all at Talbert Communications whom I've known for such a long time. Kathleen was a very special pr person, whose wonderful spirit and perspective will be much missed by all wine journalists, and very much by me. I have so many good memories of Kathleen's help and kindness and was sorry I could not be at her memorial service.

Kathleen Talbert, the last of the good ol' Broads. I mean that with the upmost respect. I first met you when I started working at NCW. Way back... I learned so much from you. How to handle people, yes, even the pushy ones. You were the best! Peace be with you my dear friend. I will miss you always.

For my sister Kathleen...
I thought of you with love today but that is nothing new,
I thought about you yesterday and days before that too.
I think of you in silence, I often speak your name,
All I have are memories and your picture in a frame.
Your memory is my keepsake with which I’ll never part,
God has you in His keeping I have you in my heart.

I first met Kathleen when she was at Food and Wines from France. She always had great ideas and even better execution of them. It has been a great gift to work with her for all these years. She has guided and enriched so many lives.

The Play Company sends condolences to Kathleen's family and circle of friends and co-workers. She was a generous patron of our theatre, The Play Company, and many other organizations. We were honored by her support and greatly enjoyed her company. We will always remember and admire her.

For my sister Kathleen:
The tide recedes but leaves behind
bright seashells on the sand.
The sun goes down, but gentle
warmth still lingers on the land.
The music stops, and yet it echoes
on in sweet refrains.....
For every joy that passes,
something beautiful remains.
Love always,
Your sister Lee

I am so sorry to hear this very very sad news ! I met Kathleen when she came to food and wines from france to replace me as I was leaving for France at sopexa's headquarters. she did a terrific job, a few years later, she left to head to French culinary institute where she excelled.
I am still living in Paris, france and just heard this awful news.
I am deeply saddened. To Ruth, may God help you in this terrible ordeal. Denise NAVARRO
