LLOYD KAYE Obituary

KAYE--Lloyd S., longtime executive and innovator in employee benefits consulting, died of lung cancer on May 10, 2011 at age 83. A managing director of Marsh & McLennan, he joined the firm in 1975 and was a respected expert on legal changes in pension and healthcare plans until his retirement in 1996. After graduation from Harvard Law School in 1952, he was a vice president at Johnson & Higgins and then Allied Stores before joining Marsh. In retirement, he returned to his lifelong passion for history, studying at Columbia University, lecturing at the New School's Institute for Retired Professionals and DOROT's University Without Walls. He is survived by his wife, Lael French Scott; son Seth, from his first marriage; and son Joshua and daughter, Sarrah, from his second marriage.
