MARION STROUD Obituary

STROUD--Marion Boulton.

The Trustees and Staff of the Whitney Museum of American Art note with deep sadness the passing of Marion "Kippy" Stroud, longtime and dear friend and a founding member of the Whitney's National Committee. Kippy was a dedicated champion of the arts and artists which she supported, nurtured and inspired through the visionary Fabric Workshop and Museum which she founded in Philadelphia in 1977 and the Acadia Summer Arts Program in Maine better known as "Kamp Kippy". A true original, Kippy will be remembered for her spirit, generosity and lasting contributions to so many in the contemporary art world. Our deepest sympathies to her cousin Patterson Sims and extended family. Flora Miller Biddle, Honorary Chair Leonard A. Lauder, Chairman Emeritus Neil G. Bluhm, Co-Chairman Laurie M. Tisch, Co-Chairman Richard M. DeMartini, President Adam D. Weinberg, Alice Pratt Brown Director

Dear Kippy:
I'm going to missing you, already I was looking forward to go back to work for you. In the past when I work for you in Palm Beach for 5 years I spend a lots time with you it was quite of experience learning about art and your Kamp Kippy, I remember when you took me around to see Maine. Love, Nohemi
