MARY CLARK Obituary

CLARK--Mary, RSCJ died September 1st in Albany. She taught at Manhattanville College for more than 30 years. The author/editor of nine books and countless scholarly articles, her research and writing were primarily on Augustine and Thomas Aquinas. She served as visiting professor at St. John Neumann Seminary for more than 20 years. Her numerous honors included honorary degrees from Manhattanville and Villanova University, Outstanding Educator of America, the Aquinas Medal for Eminence in Philosophy and the Interracial Justice Award. Visit www.rscj.org. Born in Philadelphia October 23, 1913, to Francis S. and Regina Holland Twibill Clark, her brothers George A. and Rev. James D. Clark, and sister, Regina (Mrs. James P.) McGranery, predeceased her. She is survived by nieces and nephews and their children and grandchildren. Services: Funeral at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, September 6 in the chapel at Teresian House, Albany. Visitation one hour prior to the funeral. Memorial at Manhattanville Sunday, October 26, time and location TBD.
