DONSKER--Mary Davis, a longtime resident of Welch Island, NH and Fort Lee, NJ, died peacefully in her sleep at the age of 90, during the early hours of December 27. She was born in Southwick MA to Rev. William and Maud Davis. She graduated from Wheaton College in Massachussets and obtained a masters degree in Economics at the University of Minnesota. There she met her future husband Monroe Donsker who was a distinguished professor of mathematics at New York University until his death in 1991. Mary was a talented water color artist who enjoyed painting and writing and she loved to travel. She leaves behind four cousins and two nephews and is survived by her second husband, Nejet Polat.
