MORTON COHEN Obituary

COHEN--Morton N., born February 27, 1921; died June 12, 2017. Educated at Tufts College, B.A. and Columbia University, PhD. Professor of English at City College of New York and the Graduate Center of the City University of New York. Fellow of Christ Church, Oxford and a member of the Royal Society of Literature. Eminent scholar of Victorian literature, especially of the life and works of Charles Dodgson, including Lewis Carroll, A Biography; The Letters of Lewis Carroll (two volumes); and Lewis Carroll, Photographer as well as books on Rudyard Kipling and Rider Haggard. For many years, Dr. Cohen "triangulated," as he called it, spending the academic year in New York, the summers in London, and whenever possible winter periods in Puerto Rico. Funeral services handled by Frank E. Campbell "The Funeral Chapel", 81st and Madison Ave.
