ALLEN--Phillip R., passed March 1, 2012. Actor of stage, screen and television. Studied at Neighborhood Playhouse and starred in Pulitzer Prize winning play "That Championship Season" and Albee's "Zoo Story", both of which he won best acting awards. He also performed in the controversial award-winning theatrical performance dealing with AIDS, "The Normal Heart." Phillip went on to do "Are You Now or Have You Ever Been?". The entire New York cast won an ensemble acting award. Recurring roles in television series: "The Mary Tyler Moore Show", "Bad News Bears", "Happy Days" and with Tom Hanks in "Bosom Buddies" - IMDB and many more. An actor's actor who always left the audience smiling. Phillip was the brilliant raconteur and will be remembered by his friends as a gifted chameleon on stage and screen. Phillip's films included "Onion Fields", "Star Trek III", "Mommie Dearest" and "Midway" to name a few. Survivors include Joanie, his wife, muse and soulmate of 40 years, and devoted son Keegan who follows in his father's footsteps presently starring in the hit television series "Pretty Little Liars".
