POLINA BRONFMAN Obituary
(nee Korn), on September 8 at the age of 91, passed peacefully at home surrounded by her loving son Yefim and daughter Elisabeta. She leaves behind a sister Hannah, two grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, a number of cousins and many friends. From Poland she had escaped to Russia during the Nazi occupation and there she met and married Naum Bronfman. Moving to Israel she reunited with the remnants of her war-devastated family, finally moving to New York with her husband to join their son in 1991. Despite war- related disruptions she completed her studies and became a piano teacher passing on her love of music to both her children. A strong, vibrant, big-hearted, beautiful woman who will remain in the memory of all those who loved her. Services will be private.

I still owe you so much for teaching me piano as a child at the Professor Shor Conservatory. Those lessons were not only about music but also about patience, discipline, and beauty. I carry you in my heart to this day, with gratitude that has never faded.
Thanks to you, I discovered a deep love for classical music, and for the piano in particular. That love has accompanied me throughout my life, shaping my inner world and enriching it in ways I cannot fully describe.
May you rest in peace, knowing that your gift and your teaching continue to live on in me.

I just remember her as my one and only Piano teacher. I'm sorry I didn't have the chance to say goodbye. She was truely a great person.
