MINTON--Robert (Bob) Schenk Jr., formerly of Nashville, Tennessee and Sandown, New Hampshire, passed away unexpectedly on January 20. He was the eldest son of the late Catherine Payne Minton and the late Robert Schenk Minton. Robert was a graduate of Father Ryan High School, Nashville, and the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. He had been an international banker throughout his career but was now living in retirement in Clonbur, Ireland, with his longtime companion, Stacy Brooks. He is survived by his son, Rob Minton III and Rob's wife Marcia, his daughters Katherine and Sarah Minton and their mother Therese Minton, his brothers George and John Minton and their families, his cousin Lynn Gothard and his uncle George Payne Sr. His remains will be reposing at his residence, Golden Bay, Clonbur, Co. Galway, Ireland, from 12 noon to 6pm on Sunday, January 24. A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, January 25, at St. Mary of the Rosary Church, Cong, County Mayo, Ireland, with burial afterwards in Lisloughrey Cemetery. Family flowers only, and donations instead to the Irish charity, Croi.
