ROBERTA K. JAEGER

JAEGER--Roberta K., MD, age 69: Loved by her son Adam Behrens, daughter Caroline Jaeger-Smith, daughter-in-law Dawnelle Behrens, son-in-law Geoffrey Smith and two granddaughters she cherished, Stephanie and Charlotte Smith. Adored by her companion of seven years, Peter Hochstein. She attended on scholarship both Barnard College where she graduated Phi Beta Kappa, and Columbia College of Physicians and Surgeons. She was a respected psychiatrist as well as a Training and Supervising Analyst at the Columbia University Center for Psychoanalytic Training and Research. She was an esteemed teacher and a valued clinician, beloved by her colleagues and patients. She built her practice and raised her children as a single mother. She was known for her charm, wit, vivacity and ageless beauty. Memorial service Friday 11:30am, Frank Campbell Funeral Home, Madison Avenue at 81st Street. Contributions in her memory may be made to the Columbia College of Physicians and Surgeons.
