Dear Caroline,
So so sorry to learn this evening of Stuart's passing away. We know of his various health issues in the past decade, but from my earliest memories in the world of collectible books Stuart was there as a benevolent advisor. We used to speak regularly at various book fairs and in the early days of my own Grolier Club membership. I never wanted to intrude, but I always admired him for his knowledge and his kindness towards young people like myself. I kept thinking one day we would get to talk again, but it never happened ... at least not yet. Maybe eventually. Dennis joins me in sending you our heartfelt sympathy and support of friendship. Our prayers are with you.
