BRONFMAN--Edgar M. Taglit-Birthright Israel, Birthright Israel Foundation, NEXT, a division of Birthright Israel Foundation, and their officers and professionals, mourn the passing of Edgar M. Bronfman, one of this generation's most pre-eminent and dedicated Jewish leaders. Awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 1999, he will be remembered for his passionate advocacy for the rights of the Jewish people, for supporting Jewish identity for future generations and for demonstrating by personal example the power of one individual to help create a better world. We extend our deepest sympathies to his wife, Jan Aronson; his brother and our founder, Charles R. Bronfman; his sister, Phyllis Lambert; and his entire immediate and extended family. He will forever be remembered as an exemplar of leadership for the Jewish people.
