ACKERMAN--Jack. The Board, staff, and clients of Jewish Board of Family and Children's Services have lost a friend, ally, and agency leader of legendary importance. First joining the Board in 1966, Jack served as Trustee and Treasurer for many years. The importance of his leadership and sage advice at critical junctures in our history, including the merger of Jewish Family Service and Jewish Board of Guardians in the 1970s and the fiscal crisis of the 1990s, cannot be overstated. All of us mourn his loss deeply alongside his wife Dana, their children, and many friends. His memory will surely be a blessing at JBFCS.
