PETER HAJE Obituary
The partners, counsel, associates and staff of Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison express profound sorrow at the passing of our beloved former partner, Peter R. Haje. For more than five decades, Peter served as a mentor, colleague, partner, client and trusted friend to all members of the Paul, Weiss family. Peter's wit, charm, generosity and wisdom will be deeply missed. He was one of a kind. We express our deepest sympathies to Helen and the other members of the Haje family.

As a young man in the early 80s I was all too briefly at Paul Weiss. I have never forgotten Peter Haje. Over the intervening 35 years, he was been a person I have thought of with some frequency as serving as a role model for decency, integrity and intelligence in the corporate world. My condolences. HZ

To the Haje Family: My heartfelt sympathies go out to the family and friends during this difficult time. I hope that the promise in 1 Thessalonians 4:14 can bring comfort. Knowing that there's a hope for the ones we have lost in death can be so reassuring.

My deepest condolences to Helen and family. I have known Peter so many years through my father, Sam Friedman, and he was one of the kindest, finest, most thoughtful people I have ever known. I wish you strength and assure you that Peter will be missed. We are poorer without him.
