FISCHER--Michael D., age 69, of Miami Beach, passed away on Thursday, March 27, 2008. Beloved husband of Maxine. Devoted father of Lisa (Bernard) Noble, Adam (Jeanie) Fischer, Rachel (Arthur) Heller, Jonathan (Jamie) Fischer. Cherished son of Irving and the late Sylvia Fischer. Dear brother of Harriet Sanders and Richard Fischer. Adored grandfather of Benjamin and Elizabeth Noble, Andrew, Michael and Katie Heller, and Zachary Fischer. Born and raised in New York, Michael graduated from Queens College where he met his wife, Maxine, of 49 years. His love for Israel and the Jewish people led him to pursue a long and fruitful career as a fundraiser for Jewish causes, ultimately serving as a senior executive for the Greater Miami Jewish Federation and the United Jewish Communities in New York. Over the years, Michael led numerous missions to Israel, raised hundreds of millions of dollars, and was recognized for his significant fundraising successes by various world leaders. Michael was an incredibly kind and special man and was a gift to all who knew him. Michael was most proud of his family who he loved and cherished, and who loved and adored him in return.
