DONOVAN--Susan E., 69, died on June 28 in New York City. Daughter of Milton and Ruth (McCarthy) Donovan, she grew up in Longmeadow, MA and graduated from Manhattanville College. Her distinguished 40-year career in talent management for several NYC advertising agencies culminated at Warwick, Baker & Fiore as Senior Vice President. She launched and nurtured many careers. She was inducted into the Academy of Women Leaders in 1984. Most recently she served as a volunteer in the President's Office at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Sue leaves her sister Jean Donovan Sanborn and partner George Metes of Bailey Island, ME and Hartland, VT; three nephews and their wives; Geoffrey Sanborn (Sarah Towers) of Rhinecliff, NY, Joshua (Kimberly) Sanborn of Easton, PA, and Benjamin (Susie) Sanborn of Farmingdale, ME; five grandnieces and grandnephews, and many loving friends. Visiting hours will be at Krtil Funeral Home, Inc., 1297 First Ave. (69-70th St.) on Wednesday, July 1 from 6-9pm. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Vincent Ferrer (Lexington and 66th St.) on Thursday at 10:00am. Interment Friday, 1:30pm at St. Michael's Cemetery in Springfield, MA. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Susan Donovan's name to the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
